About Rochelle

ROCHELLE HALL, LMFT, Certified MBSR Teacher

I am an LMFT and co-founder of the Monterey Center for Mindfulness and Compassion.  For me, mindfulness and therapy both are about meaningful change and healing. When we meet anxiety, depression, or difficult life transitions with compassionate listening, curiosity, and non-judgment, serious problems come to hold far less sway over our lives.  Mindfulness offers a simple but challenging lesson in living: How to cultivate moment to moment presence, in body and mind, with an open heart. As a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, I’m committed to working with adults who wish to learn and practice mindful living: With intentional presence to what most matters to them, and with eyes open to cultivating their own inner resources.  I work with men and women who are navigating  through difficult life circumstances, changes, social isolation, or the effects of trauma.  I’m trained in Expressive Arts Therapy, and invite written and visual arts along with therapeutic conversation and mindfulness practices in my work with clients.

Foundations of my professional work lie most deeply within my own life experience of the ways language and culture, creative writing, arts, and body-centered practices can offer pathways to healing.

I am certified as an MBSR Teacher, trained at the UCSD Center for Mindfulness, and the Awareness Relaxation Training program (ART), founded by Bob Stahl.

I offer phone consultation and teletherapy.  To contact me about individual consultation or mindfulness instruction, please email me at RochelleHall.consult@gmail.com or call 408.823.4671.
